Without sleep, society would become unrecognizable. Productivity would skyrocket, economies would grow faster, and nightlife would become the default. However, rest isn’t just about physical recovery—it plays a huge role in memory, emotion regulation, and creativity. Even if we didn’t need sleep, we might still crave rest and relaxation to maintain mental health.

A world without sleep would be both a dream and a nightmare. More waking hours mean more time to work, create, and experience life. But sleep serves critical biological functions—it helps with brain detoxification, emotional stability, and learning.

If nobody needed sleep, society would split into two groups: the ultra-productive and the people watching cat videos for 12 extra hours a day. I’d like to think I’d write a novel, but realistically, I’d just binge-watch everything on Netflix.

No sleep? Great. More time for stress, overthinking, and wondering why I said something awkward six years ago. Love it.

I don’t need extra time to overthink—I’m already doing it during sleep. Imagine what I could achieve with 24/7 anxiety!
