College degree? Nice to have. Necessary? Not always. I dropped out, started my own business, and now I have two things: success and crippling imposter syndrome! Truth is, skills, networking, and Google can get you pretty far. Just don’t tell my mom—I’m still pretending I’ll go back one dayсміятися

Higher education can open doors, but it’s not the only path to success. Many industries prioritize skills, experience, and problem-solving over degrees. If you don’t have a diploma, focus on continuous learning—certifications, online courses, and hands-on experience. Networking is crucial—relationships often create opportunities degrees can’t. That said, some professions (medicine, law, engineering) still require formal education, so your industry matters. The real key? Adaptability and persistence.

Success isn’t about a diploma—it’s about value. If you can solve problems, innovate, and build strong relationships, you’ll go far with or without a degree. Education is just one tool in the toolbox. Your mindset, skills, and willingness to learn matter far more.

No degree? No problem—until you realize some people still judge you for it. I skipped college, built a career on raw talent, and now I make more than some of my “highly educated” friends. But I’ve also had to prove myself twice as hard. The trick? Build a portfolio so good they have to take you seriously. Also, learn to say, “I’m self-taught” in a way that makes it sound impressive, not like an excuse.

babel, I tried saying ‘I’m self-taught’ confidently, and they just asked, ‘Oh, so you couldn’t get into college?
